Residents can continue their recovery in the Charis Second Stage which is situated on the ground floor in the Charis building. There are up to seven rooms, two self-catering kitchens, a shared laundry, toilets and bathroom. The Second Stage has its own entrance. Each Resident is provided with a TV.

It is also during this stage that voluntary work, training and education, and the search for a clear and meaningful purpose in life occurs. There are no groups during this stage and the emphasis is increasingly on individual responsibility and the establishment by the Resident of his own support networks in the community.
